Advieh Seasoning Blend has a delicate, floral flavour from the aromatic combination of spicy cinnamon, sweet rose petals and earthy cardamom and cumin.
Used extensively in Persian cuisine as an all-purpose seasoning, the spice mix is often compared to the status of Indian Garam Masala within Indian cooking. Pronounced “ad-vee-eh”, the word means “spice” or “seasoning” in Persian. Over time, the blend has evolved and adapted, incorporating influences from the Persian Empire, regional ingredients and the Silk Road trade.
A staple in Iranian, Persian and Middle Eastern kitchens, Advieh it is used to flavour rice pilafs, vegetable dishes, soups, grilled meats, stews and pickles. It holds prominent cultural significance in Persian tradition, often associated with special occasions and festive meals.
To use, simply boil rice with 2-4 teaspoons of Advieh. Alternatively, try our recipe for Spice Persian Meatballs. We have done all the hard work for you by dry roasting the spices before blending and mixing them together in small batches. This enhances the flavours and aromas, adding an extra layer of depth to the blend.

I love the Advieh blend, I use it regularly in Fesenjan!

This is a stunning and unknown spice blend with wonderful overtones of rosé petals and cinnamon. I am still experimenting with it and add it to lamb burgers. Top with char grilled strips of red pepper and crumbled Feta cheese – delicious.

I have not used this spice blend before, but the aroma coming from the packet as I opened it was great. I love spicy food
and some of the best comes from the Middle East and North Africa. A friend is bringing me half a lamb, a meat very popular
in Middle Eastern cuisine. Looking forward to cooking for friends next week end.
