Ground Cloves Spices are fruity and peppery. The powder is finely milled from whole cloves and is highly versatile. Their fine, smooth texture makes them perfect for incorporating into many different recipes. Powdered cloves are used to bake sweet treats around Christmastime such as Christmas cakes, puddings and mulled drinks.

Whereas whole clove buds tend to be used for infusing flavour into liquids such as simmering in soups, stews, sauces, and beverages, ground cloves are more commonly used in baking, cooking, and spice blends. They are ideal for even distribution of flavour in recipes and can be incorporated into dry and wet ingredients very easily.

The highly potent flavour ensures that a little goes a long way. Ground clove seasoning is ideal for stews, meat rubs and marinades. They also pair perfectly with apples so try in your next apple sauce or when baking an apple pie!

How to make the best apple crumble ever, and cheer yourself on a cold winter evening?
Use Bramley apples, and add both ground cloves and cinnamon from Seasoned Pioneers, and heat gently until fluffy.
Then make the topping with 50% wholemeal flour and 50% porridge oats. Bake for about 40 minutes at 180C.
Serve with rich creamy custard.
You will be thrilled with the results, and your friends will all be asking for the recipe.
