The iconic crushed Red chillies are found on restaurant tables in pizzerias, as well as kitchen cupboards up and down the country. This crushed seasoning is highly versatile, and a small sprinkle adds heat and a peppery flavour to its dishes.

One of my most used Seasoned Pioneers spices so I am glad that the pouch of Seasoned Pioneers Crushed Red Chillies is packed very full. Even when the recipe calls for fresh chillies, I usually add at least a pinch of this to guarantee a nice kick. Most recently I tried it sprinkling on a roasting dish with some coconut oil, then added some blanched broccoli and roasted turning once. It works with rapeseed oil/ kale too. It's certainly one way to make your five-a-day more palatable to those who aren't so keen on the greens.
