The best Harissa Burgers, tasty with a kick!
Over a medium heat, add a dash of oil to a frying pan and add the onions. Cook for around 3 minutes until they start to brown.
Add the garlic and cook for a further 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from the heat.
In a mixing bowl, combine the minced beef, onions, garlic, harissa and salt and mix well. The texture should be just right but if you find that the mixture is too dry and crumbly, you can add an egg to bind everything together.
Separate the mixture into two and shape each part into a thin patty.
Over a low heat, add a dash of oil to a frying pan and cook each patty for around 3 minutes on each side. Once you’ve flipped the patty over, add the sliced cheese on top and wait until it melts before removing from the heat.
To assemble your burger, spread some burger sauce over the bottom of your bun, followed by the patty and a slice of tomato, cucumber and a lettuce leaf. Close with the top of the bun and enjoy!
