4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
4 tbsp rice flour
1 tbsp of ginger, grated
3 tsp Jalfrezi Spice Blend
½ tsp salt
A dash of olive oil
1 handful chopped coriander

Method

Aloo Tikki is the perfect Indian snack or starter, delicious!

Step 1:

Boil the potatoes until soft (around 11-12 minutes).

Step 2:

Drain the potatoes and move them to a large bowl. Mash them and leave to cool for around 15 minutes.

Step 3:

Add the ginger, rice flour, Jalfrezi Spice Blend, salt and chopped coriander and mix until everything is combined.

Step 4:

Using your hands, take a small amount of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Flatten with your hand until it resembles a small patty. Repeat for the rest of the mixture.

Step 5:

Heat a dash of oil in a frying pan over a medium-low heat. Gently place the patties into the pan and cook until golden brown (around 5 minutes on each side).
