Pimenton Dulce is a sweet, smoked paprika with tangy notes. The powder is traditionally made by grinding the peppers once they have been oak smoked for several weeks. Essential within Spanish cooking, Pimenton Dulce.

Pimenton Dulce is made from a specific type of pepper called Capsicum annuum, which is grown in the region of La Vera in Spain. The smoking process used to make Pimenton Dulce is known as “elaboracion tradicional,” or traditional production. This method has been used for centuries and is still used today, with many producers following strict guidelines to ensure the highest quality. In Spain, you may hear Pimento Dulce referred to as “oro rojo,” or red gold, because of its vibrant red color and valuable role in Spanish cuisine.

Pimenton Dulce gives paella and chickpea stew their distinctively moreish taste. Add the powder to grilled vegetables, delicate white fish or try adding to a bolognese and chilli con carne for a sweet, smoky flavour!

Really lovely...quality product. Had it with chorizo and cheese on a homemade flatbread. Would recommend.

Loved this since I first used and tasted it, when living in France and couldn't find smoked Paprika. Back in UK, checked out others but none as good. So happy that Seasoned Pioneers still there.

So I had to order more Paprika as I literally burned through my first order in a matter of weeks, the smoky flavour of this is so good on homemade chicken burgers and roasted veg. Speedy delivery

I used some of the smoky paprika the day it arrived to make a seafood paella and it struck me again how important it is to use quality fresh spices. Howabout an awareness raising competition to find the most out-of-date spice, and the most imaginative way of using it up?

Unquestionably the best sweet smoked paprika I have found, we live in a small town just north of the Spanish border and you cannot but Pimenton this good locally.
